The problem.

FODGETS sells laptops, phones, and full workstation setups from Computer Village, Lagos — and was repositioning from "gadget store" to technology procurement partner for corporates, schools, and government buyers. The web presence had to carry that shift.

01

A positioning shift, not a paint job. Corporate and government buyers need a supplier that reads credible and established — not a typical gadget-seller page.

02

B2B paperwork is part of the product. Procurement runs on quotations, invoices, and receipts. Producing them by hand for every deal doesn't scale and doesn't look professional.

03

Trust is the currency. Buying a used laptop in Lagos is a trust exercise — the store had to show genuine products, honest condition grades, real specs, and after-sales support up front.

Our approach.

  1. 01

    Design.

A disciplined, premium interface in the brand's single blue accent: generous space, modern typography, tabular figures for money. Every device carries a condition grade (Brand New, UK Used, Open Box), a full specification table, and a plain-language processor performance index — so buyers compare on facts, not vibes.

  2. 02

    Build.

A Next.js storefront on Supabase — Postgres with row-level security, auth, and storage. Catalogue with live search and filters, a cart drawer, checkout with bank-transfer payment, customer accounts with order history, and an enquiry flow for bulk and procurement requests.

  3. 03

    Back office.

An admin console that runs the business, not just the site: product management with an AI-assisted spec-enrichment pipeline, manual order creation for walk-in and WhatsApp sales, and a document engine that issues quotation, invoice, and receipt PDFs — emailed to customers via Resend and linked to their orders. A revenue dashboard tracks sales, discounts, margins, and customers in one place.

  4. 04

    Launch and harden.

Analytics, error monitoring, rate limiting, spam filtering on the contact form, a strict content-security policy, and self-hosted image resizing — deployed to Vercel behind a full pre-deploy gate, live at fodgets.com.

What shipped.

A live storefront at fodgets.com.

Catalogue, cart, checkout, and customer accounts for both retail and bulk buyers.

A B2B document engine.

Quotation, invoice, and receipt PDFs that match the browser view exactly, emailed automatically and linked to orders.

A revenue back office.

Sales, discounting, margin tracking, and unified customer records — the numbers the owner actually runs the business on.

A catalogue that maintains itself.

An enrichment pipeline generates specs and performance scores for new devices instead of leaving data entry to the shop floor.
